Pictures from Tuesday

Tuesday the entire group did an "Immigration Simulation" in the morning. Families picked beans (fill up a cup one at a time) to pay for food and housing, but the oppressive land owners forced them to lose money and have to borrow.
Family members were forced to either move to the Mexico side of the border (and work in "NAFTA" factories) or pay a Coyote to lead them to America for work. Gotta love the Coleman Border Patrol:

Check out the rest of the photos on the link on the right. Tuesday starts about page 7. In the afternoon, 1/2 the group went to court (as Clara blogged about) while the rest of us visited the San Xavier mission. Then it was into the pool to cool off and play "Sheep swimming across the ocean???"

Yes, ya gotta love the border patrol. Intimidating, to say the least.

Where is the pool? It looks like it's smackdab in the middle of the desert?

How are accommodations?

Love the photos. Thanks.
